XFX RX 590 Fatboy Review

XFX RX 590 Fatboy Testing:

Shadow of the Tomb Raider:

Shadow of the Tomb Raider is an action-adventure game played from a third-person view. You once again step into the shoes of Lara Croft as she explores environments across the continent of South America. The main hub of the game is the largest the franchise has yet seen, which also reveals the hidden city of Paititi. Players can participate in side quests and missions and learn about Paititi in order to enhance the experience as you uncover the lost secrets. Released on September 14th, 2018, this game uses the Foundation game engine like its predecessor.

Battlefield 1:

Battlefield 1 takes us back to the horrors of the war to end all wars. Or as we know it, World War 1. This first-person shooter offers up a world of options for gameplay taking you through all the fields of battle from Gallipoli to Italy, North Africa, and France. There are many characters and classes to play. In multiplayer, you can play Rush, Conquest, War Pigeons, Team Deathmatch, and Operations modes. Using the Frostbite 3 Engine, this fifteenth installment of the franchise was released by EA in October 2016 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

Settings:

  • DirectX 12
  • Ultra Preset

Looking at the results of these two benchmarks, I see that the RX 590 Fatboy is delivering performance above that of a highly clocked RX 580 card and easily surpassing the performance results of the GTX 1060.
