Tesoro Excalibur Spectrum RGB Mechanical Keyboard Review

Tesoro Excalibur Spectrum RGB Mechanical Keyboard Conclusion:

Now that we have put this keyboard through the test, we will discuss my thoughts on the keyboard. For more than a couple of reasons I really like the keyboard. Then again, there are reasons I do not like the keyboard. With keyboards, there is much speculation and opinion going with it. I, for one, am happy with the performance of this keyboard. On the other hand, I am sure there is someone out there that feels otherwise. For me, the result of this review is clear. Tesoro has brought us a solid mechanical keyboard packed to the gills with features. Let's take a minute to explain.

After using this keyboard for a week, I found it is quite comfortable. This was not the case at first. With as much as Tensoro put under the hood, this keyboard stands tall. Once I was used to it, I learned the benefits of having the Brown mechanical switches equipped. Tensoro has regarded this switch simply as for "the weathered soldier." With easy actuation and rebound, I found extended periods of use did not create excessive fatigue or discomfort. This alone made my experience much better than other mechanical keyboards I have used.

Moving into the lighting function, we get a unique experience. With the GUI, you can essentially modify it to your hearts content. Inside the GUI, you have several options on how the keyboard lighting will react. This includes display color, reaction, and special functions that can enhance your lighting. This is where the end user's creativity can take flight. Now add six different adjustable lighting profiles and you have a combination that can always impress.

The use of the macro function was the only true letdown in this review. While the macro system does function, it is difficult to master. In addition to that, it felt like the macro length limit was very short. On the bright side, where you lose on the macro length you benefit from exact duplication. Using either of the input methods, you will get exactly what you put in. This includes recording all the way down to the milliseconds between press and release of keys. While the macro function was not my favorite, I did take a liking to the launch system. All this system does is bind a key to an .exe file and send it after the key is actuated. I was able to apply this for all my overclocking software. Taking a few short minutes to set it up saved me many keystrokes after unplanned reboots.

Now that this review has concluded, I would like to thank Tesoro for the product it sent. This is a very good keyboard for everyday and gaming use. The lighting function is without a doubt the best I have ever used and I can say without any hesitation that users will be satisfied with their experience. If you are looking for a mechanical keyboard with excellent precision, switch options, custom lighting, and macros, this is the keyboard for you.
