  • Interoperability: Windows™, Linux ™, OS X™ Thanks to its driver-less design, the Vid-2X offers unparalleled multi monitor compatibility across operating systems. The only requirement is that the system provides either a Thunderbolt, DisplayPort or a Dual-Link DVI connector.
  • Feedback and Control: Unique in its product category, Vid-2X integrates feedback and control via an LED display and control switches. The LED display provides status on the connection and resolutions configured. Advanced features such as bezel management and clone mode can be enabled via the control switches.
  • Unleash Hidden Bandwidths: DisplayPort and Dual-Link DVI were designed to support extreme resolutions. Vid-2X can use the hidden extra bandwidth to drive two 1920x1080 Full HDTM displays from one single connector!
  • No Compromise: Vid-2X supports two Full HD™ displays each providing 1920x1080 resolution, 24-bit color at 60Hz1. Your operating system will report a resolution of 3840x1080 which means that 3D games, legacy applications as well as your favorite movies will play nicely across two monitors.
  • Advanced Bezel Displacement: Use the onboard control switches to enable and adjust bezel displacement. Bezel management ensure images are displayed correctly across two displays. This advanced feature can be useful when playing games and becomes a requirement when viewing large imagery such as digital signage, maps and architectural drawings.
  • Display Cloning: Through the simple change of a configuration switch Sapphire’s Vid-2X can show the same content on both displays. This can be useful in digital signage, kiosks, board rooms, class rooms and any other situation where an overhead display cloning an operator display is required. Thanks to its driver-less design the Vid-2X support for display cloning extends to environments such as DOS, Solaris and even embedded operating system.
  • Multiplication: Vid-2X is not limited to a single device per system. For advanced graphical wall applications, multiple Vid-2X devices can be connected to a multi-output graphics cards enabling advanced configurations and unleashing the full potentional of high end graphics adapters.
  • Single Logical Displays: To the operating system, the Vid-2X is seen as a display that is double the resolution either horizontally (landscape) or vertically (portrait). This translates, for example, into a resolution of 3840x1080 for two landscape HD LCD displays. This simplifies application development and improves compatibility with applications that have not been specifically designed for multiple monitors since the operating system itself is not aware that multiple displays are in use. Single logical displays scale from two to twelve displays when multiple Vid-2X devices are used on advanced graphics adapters.
