PowerColor Red Devil RX 480 8GB Testing:

Ashes of the Singularity:

Ashes of the Singularity is a massive, real-time strategy game on a grand scale. Developed by Oxide Games and Stardock Entertainment, Ashes of the Singularity runs on the new Nitrous engine, which enables thousands of units fighting it out on-screen. It uses DirectX 12, one of the first games to use the new API, and it helps provide even more detail to battles. Ashes of the Singularity recently came out of early access development, with more content added all the time to expand the world and its story.

3DMark: The just-released version of Futuremark's popular 3DMark suite is designed to let a wider range of the user base make a comparative analysis of the gaming prowess of their systems from entry level PCs, to notebooks, and extreme gaming PCs.

In Ashes of the Singularity, our second DX 12 game, PowerColor's Red Devil RX 480 gives the end user performance on par with the GTX 1060, with FPS margins staying in the 2FPS or less range. In 3DMark, the Red Devil RX 480 delivers scoring results that are very similar to what the R9 390 is delivering. Overclocking helps, but after all my testing I still was getting inconsistent clock speeds through the overclocked testing.
