NVIDIA SHIELD Android TV Closer Look:

NVIDIA sells two optional accessories for the SHIELD Android TV; three if you count the option to buy additional controllers. The first accessory is a stand, which allows you to prop the device up vertically instead of laying it horizontally. This official stand is constructed from a single piece of aluminum and anodized for a sleek matching finish that sits right at home with the device. The bottom of the stand features a "non-slip nano-suction base" to prevent slippage. At $29.99 USD, it's a bit pricey, but if you want to display your device vertically, it is certainly well constructed and feels solid and weighty.

Here are a couple photos of the SHIELD Android TV housed comfortably in the stand:

The second optional device is the SHIELD Remote, which comes packaged with a USB cable for charging. The device is made of brushed aluminum, and while tiny, feels quite sturdy and unsurprisingly well crafted. Priced at $49.99 USD, it may be a bit pricey considering the controller does all the same functionality and more, but if you are going to be using your SHIELD Android TV predominantly for watching media rather than playing games, it's certainly an easier, less cluttered device. The remote connects with Bluetooth, which not only means great battery life, but also means you don't need direct line of sight to your unit. There's also a headset jack in the remote itself so you can enjoy some private listening late at night without disturbing those around you. Oh, and there's also a built-in microphone to support Android TV's voice commands.
