MSI GTX 1050 Gaming X 2G Testing:

Ashes of the Singularity:

Ashes of the Singularity is a massive, real-time strategy game on a grand scale. Developed by Oxide Games and Stardock Entertainment, Ashes of the Singularity runs on the new Nitrous engine, which enables thousands of units fighting it out on-screen. It uses DirectX 12, one of the first games to use the new API, and it helps provide even more detail to battles. Ashes of the Singularity recently came out of Early Access development, with more content added all the time to expand the world and its story.

  • Extreme Preset

3DMark: The just-released version of Futuremark's popular 3DMark suite is designed to let a wider range of the user base make a comparative analysis of the gaming prowess of their systems from entry level PCs, to notebooks, and extreme gaming PCs.

  • Default test settings
  • Sky Diver
  • Fire Strike
  • Fire Strike Extreme
  • Fire Strike Ultra

In Ashes of the Singularity, our second DirectX 12 game, the GTX 1050 is just a bit slower than the GTX 960. If you back the graphics preset down from the Extreme preset, you can improve FPS performance. In 3DMark, the GTX 1050 is the lowest performer in the field. But we know that going into this since you have to understand where the card can perform in that $129 price point.
