ECS Z270H4-I Testing:

3DMark: The latest release version of Futuremark's popular 3DMark suite is designed to let a wider range of the user base have the ability to run the tests and make  a comparative analysis of the gaming prowess of their systems from entry level PCs to notebooks and Extreme Gaming PCs.

  • Default test settings used
  • Sky Diver
  • Firestike Extreme
  • Time Spy

Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War III: This game is an RTS from Relic Entertainment, the company behind the Company of Heroes franchise. It was released in 2017 and makes quick work of any gaming computer because of heavy CPU and GPU tasks. Of course I didn't go easy and benchmarked it using the highest settings.

Settings: Max

  • Image Quailty: Max
  • Texture Detail: Higher
  • Resolution Scaling: 1.00
  • Unit Occlusion: Enabled
  • Antialiasing Mode: On
  • Physics: High

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands: This is a sandbox, open-world style shooter based in the Ghost Recon world. If you like the idea of teaming up with friends to take down some bad guys, then this might be for you. Besides being a sandbox, go anywhere, complete mission your way style game, you can play the whole game in co-op. It is also a 2017 release, which is even more of a reason to benchmark it! This game is just crushing it on the current generation of video cards, but it does look beautiful!

Settings: Ultra

  • Resolution Scaling: 1.00
  • Graphics Preset: Ultra
  • Antialiasing Mode: TEMPORAL AA
  • Ambient Occlusion: HBAO+
  • Draw Distance: Very High
  • Level of Detail: Ultra
  • Texture Quality: Ultra
  • Anisotropic Filtering: 16
  • Shadow Quality: Ultra
  • Terrain Quality: Ultra
  • Vegetation Quality: Ultra
  • Turf Effects: On
  • Motion Blur: On
  • Iron Sights DOF: On
  • High Quality DOF: On
  • Bloom: On
  • Godrays: Enhanced
  • Sub Surface Scattering: On
  • Lens Flare: On
  • Long Range Shadows: Ultra

These results are a lot more comparable than the rest of the test data. If you were looking to see what an NVIDIA GTX 1070 paired with an Intel i7-7700K would be like, then look no further. At stock settings, the ECS motherboard has no problems keeping up and getting the maximum performance for the best value.
