ECS LIVA X Mini PC Review

ECS LIVA X Mini PC Closer Look:

The included software doesn't do anything as of this posting. eDLU – Driver Live Update displays the processor – Intel N2808 @ 1.58GHz, the motherboard is referred to as the BAT-MINI2, the AMI BIOS version is 10/16/2014, and the operating system is Windows 8.1 64bit. Clicking start takes you to the ECS website, which shows nothing available. eBLU – BIOS Live Update does not find any new BIOS revisions either. That completes the included ECS Software, Windows handles things like wireless connectivity. I installed drivers from the USB drive until I had Internet access, then I downloaded the newest available.

Intel has Graphics Control Panel software to help users customize their graphics experience. Displays can be rotated, resolutions changed, and other similar options. The program seemed to operate perfectly fine, and provided sufficient settings.

Sadly without functioning software, this page will be shorter than normal. The only other software was Norton. Hopefully future LIVA X models will come preloaded with Windows 8.1 with Bing, a free version of Windows for system makers.
