ASUS Z97-Deluxe & Z97-A Testing:

CrystalDiskMark 3.0: CrystalDiskMark is a hard drive benchmark designed to measure the read and write speeds of drives by using 4K blocks, 512K blocks, and sequential data. For the test, we chose the 1000MB option.

SATA Express Testing:

 

 

When you compare disk drive performance results for the Z97-A and Z97-Deluxe NFC&WLC, they mostly deliver higher throughput to and from the drives, though there is some weakness in the 4K read and write results. The USB 3.0 testing shows the advantage ASUS has by using the USB 3.0 Boost tool to improve USB 3.0 read/write performance across all the ASUS boards in the comparison. Comparing the results of the SATA Express testing to the results of my standard Corsair Test drive, you can see how read/write performance scales with a SATA Express drive
