ASUS Rampage V Extreme Testing:

Cinebench R15 is useful for testing your system, CPU, and OpenGL capabilities using the software program, CINEMA 4D. We will be using the default tests for this benchmark.

X.264 Benchmark: This benchmark is used to measure the time it takes to encode a 1080p video file into the x264 format. The default benchmark is used with an average of all four tests on each pass taken as the result.

AIDA64 Extreme Edition 3.0 is a software utility designed to be used for hardware diagnosis and benchmarking. I will be using the Cache and Memory benchmark tool to measure memory performance.

The world domination tour will have to be put on hold for a little while longer when you look at these tests. In the Cinebench testing, the CPU and memory subsystem is working well, allowing the Rampage V Extreme to out perform the comparisons. In the X.264 testing, the the Rampage V Extreme delivers results comparable with the X99 Deluxe. The results in the AIDA testing show the Rampage V Extreme as the leading board overall, or at least in the X99 category in every category but one, memory latency at stock speeds.
