It is Friday which means it is time to go through the video game news from the week, starting with a couple time-sensitive stories. First GOG is celebrating RPG Month with weekly sales and flash deals. For this first week it is RPGs set in fantasy worlds, such as Divinity: Original Sin 2 – Divine Edition that is 45% off, GreedFall at 55% off, and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - GOTY at 80% off. The flash deals last for 48 hours, so check back every other day to see what the current offer is.

The other piece of time sensitive news is a Watch Dogs: Legion free weekend that starts today and goes until Sunday. You can try out the latest game in this series on PC via the Ubisoft Store or Epic Games Store, on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, or with Google Stadia. If you enjoy it, the game is also on sale with a 60% discount for all three editions of the PC version with the Season Pass at 25% off, 67% off on the PlayStation consoles, and 55% off the Deluxe Edition on Stadia Pro while the Gold Edition is 50% off.

The gameplay reveal for Marvel's Midnight Suns has been revealed, finally giving players the chance to see what we can expect from this upcoming 2K and Firaxis title. In the game you take on the role of Hunter, the first customizable original hero in the Marvel Universe and will lead the Midnight Suns, a team comprised of members of the Avengers, X-Men, Runaways, and more. The team's goal is to defeat Lilith, the Mother of Demons and Hunter, and each day starts in the Abbey, a secret, mystical base that serves as the last haven from Lilith's influence. As for the gameplay, you are able to select up to three heroes to go into combat, with each hero have a set of cards that you can customize to influence their playstyle. You will also get the chance to hang out with the other heroes, developing friendships that can unlock new abilities.
Marvel's Midnight Suns is scheduled to release in March 2022 on PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch.

The post release content plan for Hot Wheels Unleashed has been shared, including three Hot Wheels Passes as well as free and premium DLC. The Passes will add special content such as new vehicles from brands such as Barbie, DC, Masters of the Universe, Street Fighter, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as well as car manufacturers including Aston Martin, BMW, and McLaren. Customization packs and track builder modules will also be part of these passes. The numbers for these passes have already been shared with the first featuring ten vehicles, three customization packs, three track builder modules, and one expansion; the Batman DLC expansion. Details on this expansion will come later, as will information for the other two passes and the expansions they include.
Hot Wheels Unleashed is to release on September 30 for PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch.

Modus Games shared a new trailer for Soulstice, an upcoming fantasy, hack-and-slash game from Reply Game Studios. In this you play as a Chimera, a hybrid warrior created by joining two souls, which are Briar and Lute, two sisters in this case. Briar gained superhuman abilities by becoming a Chimera while Lute was sacrificed, becoming a Shade with mystical powers. Only this combination empowers them to fight against the Wraiths that have claimed the city of Ilden. Prime Matter actually has a number of announcements from this week and the first are a pair of trailers for Dolmen. Embedded below is the story trailer while the age-gated gameplay trailer can be found here: Dolmen - Gameplay Trailer. In this third-person action-RPG from Massive Work Studio humanity has successfully colonized multiple star systems using advanced space travel and genetic technologies. The Revion system is far from the inhabited area of the galaxy but has been emitting radiation unlike anything found elsewhere in the galaxy, and so has drawn the attention of Zoan Corp. There the enigmatic Vahani are found, an alien species whose motives are unknown but apparently roam the universe, helping species to evolve. To uncover the truth, the player needs to learn the secrets of Revion Prime and the Dolmen crystals.

Also being published by Prime Matter is Gungrave G.O.R.E., an upcoming game from Studio IGGYMOB that a cinematic trailer has been released for. In the trailer anti-hero Grave arrives on Scumland and promptly… introduces himself to the local thugs. Unfortunately they will not be able to tell their friends about the new arrival. The trailer is age-gated, as seems only appropriate, given the game's title: Gungrave G.O.R.E - Grave Returns Cinematic Teaser.
This game is the next entry in the Gungrave series and is aiming to satisfy both veterans of the series and fresh players with its standalone story experience.

Lastly for Prime Matter, The Last Oricru from GoldKnights has had a new trailer released that gives another look at the game's story and setting or Wardenia, a world currently in a massive civil war. The game itself is an action-RPG that will offer both single player and drop-in/drop-out co-op gameplay that provides meaningful story choices and a skill-based combat system to challenge players. The game is aiming for a 2022 launch and will be on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5.

Serenity Forge and Twin Otter Studios released a narrative trailer for Arcadian Atlas, a game that will bring players to the ruined kingdom of Arcadia. This narrative-driven isometric, tactical RPG will challenge the player to build a group of adventures from over a dozen classes to set the fate of the kingdom and its people. Political and familial factions, nefarious plots, treacherous alliances, and clandestine intrigues are all tearing the nation apart and the Queen's willingness to do anything to claim the throne means no one is safe.
Arcadian Atlas is targeting a release in 2022.

Originally released in 2013, Fallen Enchantress: Legendary Heroes from Stardock has received its 3.0 update. With this update comes new quests, heroes, and city upgrades alongside general performance and stability improvements. For those unfamiliar with it, in the game you explore the world of Elemental, building a civilization after the world was nearly destroyed by the War of Magic. For about the past year, players have been sharing saved games with the developers to help them track down certain crashes and stuck turn scenarios. At the same time, AI improvements have been made to keep things interesting and turns should be faster now, thanks to new code that should especially help on larger maps. The improvement was enough to support increasing the map sizes a bit too. You can find the changelog at the source link.

THQ Nordic is turning ten years old and to celebrate it will be holding a digital showcase, streamed to YouTube, Twitch, and Steam on September 17 at 3 PM EDT. A trailer for this event has been shared, but is also age-gated so you can click through this link to learn more: 10 Years of THQ Nordic. The trailer shows off many of the games the publisher has released over the past decade and I believe a few cuts from trailers for upcoming games. It will be interesting to see what is ultimately announced at the event in two weeks.
