Red Dead Redemption 2 Sets Entertainment Records

This might not be too surprising to some, but Red Dead Redemption 2 set some records with its release, including having the single-biggest opening weekend of all entertainment media. It sold over $725 million worldwide in its first three days, which also makes it the second highest grossing entertainment launch in history, with only Grand Theft Auto V, another Rockstar Games title surpassing it at over $1 billion. (It may be worth noting that as the newer title released on a Friday, its opening weekend was also its first three days, while GTA V launched on a Tuesday.)

Sony also has shared some information for PlayStation Network, where Red Dead Redemption 2 was the most pre-ordered full game ever on the platform. It also set the highest day-one sales and highest first three days sales.

Now all we need to do is hope the game comes to PC, as it is currently only available on the PlayStation 4, as already mentioned, and Xbox One.
