To mark the second anniversary of PlayStation VR, 2K and Gearbox Software announced today Borderlands 2 VR will be releasing on December 14, exclusively for PlayStation VR. Naturally this means players will get to enjoy the Borderlands 2 experience in virtual reality, but there will also be some changes to the new format. These changes include the addition of Bad Ass Mega Fun Time, or BAMF Time, that will slow time so you can set up your next attack. The four playable classes, Siren, Commando, Gunzerker, and Assassin, have also seen their skills updated for VR. Driving will now be first-person, allowing the player to steer and accelerate with the joystick while aiming the vehicle weapons with the headset. There is a choice of character movement methods too, between teleporting around like in many VR games or direct movement controlled by joysticks. Borderlands 2 VR is still going to be rated M for Mature by the ESRB, but will only be single-player.
