It was earlier this year the future of the Hitman franchise seemed uncertain as IO Interactive, the series' developer split from Square Enix, becoming an independent studio and taking the IP with it. Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment (WBIE) signed a publishing and distribution agreement with the developer in April, so more games could see wide-release, and now the next game has been announced.

HITMAN 2, the sequel to the HITMAN game released in 2019, and it is currently scheduled to release on November 13 on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. It will include new features, modes, and franchise firsts along with changes the community has pushed for. The game will continue to follow Agent 47 on his hunt for the Shadow Client to stop his militia, but after he learns more about his own past, things will change forever.

Among the franchise-firsts is a standalone co-operative experience that will allow two players to work together to deal with their targets. This Sniper Assassin mode can also be enjoyed alone as well and right now, as an early access bonus for those who preorder any edition of HITMAN 2. Also, those who go for the Gold or Collector’s editions will get four days of early access to the game.
