When StarCraft II receives its patch 4.3.0, players will have the option to purchase two arcade maps; ARK Star and Direct Strike. Both maps come from community creators, with ARK Star being made by Daniel 'Pirate' Altman, who won 2015's Rock the Cabinet contest, and Direct Strike comes from 'Tya.' Both maps cost $4.99 individually, and a share of the sales goes back to the creators. Accessing will be as easy as going to Custom then New Premium Maps or selecting Premium Content from the drop-down filter, once patch 4.3.0 is released. Once the map is selected, click Map Info and then pick the Premium tab.

ARK Star is a turn-based RPG featuring the Protoss, following the adventures of the Sol Seekers who are searching for the ARK Star, a mysterious weapon. Direct Strike is an upgrade on the already available Desert Strike HotS made by 'Tya.' It will replace the original, but a free version will remain available for everyone to enjoy, along with the new cosmetics and commander modes. Purchasing the premium version unlocks four new game modes, including Sabotage to hide players' staging areas, and Switch mode that allows players to change their race during the match.
