Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment Working With IO Interactive to Publish HITMAN: Definitive Edition

For a long time, IO Interactive and its series of Hitman games were associated with Square Enix, but that changed recently with IO Interactive becoming an independent studio. For those concerned about the future of the popular franchise, we now know the developer has made a publishing and distribution agreement with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment (WBIE). As part of this deal, HITMAN: Definitive Edition will be launch in retail stores for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on May 15.

HITMAN: Definitive Edition will contain all of the content for HITMAN, though the Elusive Target missions are time-limited events and some new in-game disguises from other IO Interactive titles. The inclusion of these outfits is to celebrate the developer's 20th anniversary and the three outfits are inspired by Freedom Fighters, Kane & Lynch, and Mini Ninjas. If you are thinking about getting this for your console library, it might be worth noting some of the add-on content is not included on the disc and will need to be downloaded. Depending on the platform, this content could amount to 12 to 24 GB.
