Gaming peripherals have become more and more advanced of late, to try wooing gamers with special features and designs. Better buttons, better sensors, and even modular designs are among these features I have seen, and now COUGAR has added a new one to the list; an LCD screen. The COUGAR Surpassion holds an LCD screen on its base along with two dedicated buttons so you can tweak settings without having to install and use software.

A number of modern gaming mice already house very small computers, allowing them to store at least one setting profile on them, but the Surpassion takes that a step further. Settings such as polling rate, angle snapping, and lift-off distance can all be controlled directly from the mouse. There are also six internally stored profiles for DPI settings which can be tweaked on the mouse itself by 50-DPI steps. The design of the Surpassion targets FPS gamers, with OMRON switches that promise 50 million clicks, anti-slip rubber flanks for sure grips, and multicolor backlight with two zones and 13 modes.

The COUGAR Suprassion is available in the USA today with an MSRP of $49.99, but from December 25, 2017 to January 14, 2018 it will be on sale for $39.99.
