Cherry Announces Two Silent Keyboard Switches

Category: Input Devices
Posted: 05:34PM

Cherry is the company behind the majority of switches used in mechanical keyboards, and they vary in noise level from loud to very loud. That is set to change as Cherry has announced a pair of switches with "integrated, patent-pending noise reduction features," the Cherry Silent and Cherry Silent RGB. The switches will be available in both Red and Black stems, offering similar functionality as their non-silent counterparts. Both utilize Gold Crosspoint contacts, which are "self-cleaning, resistant to dust and dirt and they ensure the reliability of the keyswitch in a keyboard layout."
