Logitech has announced a pair of mice designed with the goal of minimizing or eliminating the sound produced by clicking. The M220 Silent and M330 Silent Plus "reduce noise by 90 percent over standard mice" and have been given the Quiet Mark seal of approval from the Noise Abatement Society. Both mice are wireless and are differentiated by their physical design and battery life, provided by AA batteries. The M220 will have an 18-month battery life at a cost of $25 and the M330 has a 24-month battery life at a cost of $30.

I have the M330 and you will be reassured each time you "click" as it's not silent,.. but only for about one month till battery dies not 24 months.
