AMD AM4 Platform Could Launch in March 2016

Category: Motherboards
Posted: 05:00PM

The AM4 platform will power the next generation of AMD systems, including CPUs and APUs, and it will be available starting March 2016 according to the latest rumors. This could include x86 Zen based processors in the FX series, previously known as Summit Ridge, and APUs, previously known as Bristol Ridge. These new systems "will be focused at powering high-performance desktop PCs with new I/O capabilities, DDR4 memory support and a broad range of updates over the aged AM3+ platform." It will be interesting to see if AMD can finally get some good news as it has been struggling against both Intel and NVIDIA lately.
