Moonshadow's Anointed Champion Devoted Cleric

This guide is great for a Devoted Cleric (DC) wanting to super-buff their party in Tier Three dungeons in Neverwinter. The goal is to aim for as much unbuffed power as possible so that your “Weapons of Light” feat will share maximum power with your party.

My gear has been chosen to maximize my shareable power. I recommend replacing the Ring of Offensive Action with a Gravestriker +5 from Chult. I use my DC Sigil when I solo DC, so I can combo on dailies easily. I use the Thirst artifact on double DC for a little debuffing.

At Will

Blessing of Battle

Lance of Faith / or whatever, I rarely ever use it.

Encounters - Party

Divine Glow

Break the Spirit / Forgemaster’s Flame (Only use FF if u have another DC using BtS)

Astral Shield / Chains / Bastion / Exaltation (Depends on party or content)

Encounters - Solo

Divine Glow

Daunting Light

Chains of Blazing Light

Anointed Army (Spam this)

Hallowed Ground (If you’re the only DC)

Divine armor (If you have multiple DCs)

Flame Strike (solo)

Class Feature

Anointed Holy Symbol (This is what I use. If you’re lacking AP gain, then use Holy Fervor. But there is no must-have for this slot, so go with what you like.)

Hastening Light (always)

  • Wisdom
  • Charisma
  • Power (As much unbuffed power as possible)
  • Recovery (16k-20k)
  • Action Point Gain (over 600, max 2000)

Offense slots - Radiant/Power on own items, Silvery/Recovery on companion

Defense slot - Azure/Defense

Weapon - Plaguefire or Terror

Armor - Lesser Soulforged (cheapest option) / Barkshield

Insignia Bonus

  • Wanderer's Fortune
  • Shepard's Devotion
  • Artificer's Persuasion
  • Assassin’s Covenant
  • Protectors Camaraderie

  • Magistrate's Patience
  • Gladiator's Guile

Shepard's Devotion is one of the strongest insignia bonuses right now; always use it. Mix with Assassin's Covenant and Protectors Camaraderie for max gain. But, no insignia bonus will make or break your DC.

I use the AP gain Mount Power instead of Power, so that I can spam AA more often.

The red is what I would say is necessary; the other points you can spend as you want.

With Castle Ravenloft, a real healer on the last boss is a huge advantage. The only difference on buff AC and heal AC are the feats, and use Bastion of Health as an encounter.
