XFX RX 480 XXX GTR Review

   -

XFX RX 480 XXX GTR Testing:

Ashes of the Singularity:

Ashes of the Singularity is a massive, real-time strategy game on a grand scale. Developed by Oxide Games and Stardock Entertainment, Ashes of the Singularity runs on the new Nitrous engine, which enables thousands of units fighting it out on-screen. It uses DirectX 12, one of the first games to use the new API, and it helps provide even more detail to battles. Ashes of the Singularity recently came out of Early Access development, with more content added all the time to expand the world and its story.

In Ashes of the Singularity, our second DirectX 12 game, the XFX RX 480 XXX GTR gets the job done with better than GTX 1060 performance results across all three resolutions. In the 3DMark testing, the RX 480 XXX GTR most closely compares to the RX 480 comparison cards and the R9 390X. Overclocking helps scoring and FPS levels in each of the tests, but not so much that you get next-level performance by comparison.
