The VisionTek Radeon HD 3870X2 Overclocked Edition video card is, without a doubt, the best graphics card that I have ever tested. It absolutely demolished the nVidia 9800GTX video card in almost every test, but you can attribute its performance to the dual GPUs on the card. I was impressed by how quiet this beast of a video card was; my CPU fan's sound overpowered the sound of the video card, so I didn't hear the 3870X2 at all. The only problem with the cooling solution is that it is very heavy. I prayed that this card wouldn't snap the PCI-Express x16 slot on my motherboard right off - thankfully it didn't. How well did this video card cool? The quad-pipe heatsink solution did not disappoint me one bit, because the card idled at 44 Celsius inside of a room that has an ambient temperature of 18 Celsius. Since this card comes pre-overclocked, there isn't much headroom for overclocking, as expected. Currently, there is no better performing single video card out on the market than this VisionTek Radeon HD 3870X2 Overclocked Edition. So in order to get the best card available, you will have to shell out quite a bit of money. The main question is, is it worth it to get the best performing video card? In my book it is, because as an added bonus, this card is very quiet and is pre-overclocked. If you are looking for the best video card available, look no further than the VisionTek 3870X2 Overclocked Edition video card!
