Installation
The Vantec hard drive cooler is very easy to install. You want to start off by shutting down your computer and removing the hard drive. Flip the hard drive over and find the four screw holes on the bottom. Line up the holes on the cooler with the holes on the hard drive. Then, screw it in place with the four screws that are included with this package. Turn the drive back over and install it into your computer. Plug the fans power adapter into an available molex connector. Now, the installation is complete.
Conclusion
This is a very nice product! It is very easy to install and looks great once installed. To bad the bay covers from my case cover it up! My hard drive did feel cooler to the touch. My thermal probe only noticed a 2 degree (c) difference. As for noise, that almost amounts to nothing. The fan noise from my case did not increase after installing this product.
Pros:
- Easy to install
- Looks good!
- Cooler drive for longer life
Cons:
- None
