This is one very impressive CPU cooler from Vantec. The packaging of the CCK-6035D is very plain. Nothing but a blue box with the company logo, model number and "ball bearing fan" printed on it. Inside the box you will find the heat-sink with fan a 3-pin to 4-pin adapter and a pack of silicone thermal paste. Upon removing the heat-sink from the box I noticed how well made this heat-sink is. The base and fin structure are made entirely out of copper with an aluminum cap that supports the fan. The 60mm fan on this heat-sink also sports a fan guard, another great feature! I know I've had some blood shed from an unprotected fan :-) Anyway lets have a closer look!!!

Installation
Well, installing a heat-sink is very easy. The only tool that was required was a flathead screwdriver to remove my old heat-sink. After you have the old heat-sink off, clean the core of the CPU to get rid of any thermal material left on it. Next you want to add a new layer of thermal material. I use and have always used Arctic Silver II for my CPU's. Then I placed my shim in place and put the heat-sink down on the CPU. The clip on the CCK-6035D is the easiest I have ever used. Just apply a little pressure to the clip with you thumb and finger and it is locked in place. No tools required for the installation of this heat-sink. Here is what the product looks like after installation.

Conclusion
Well I am very impressed with this cooler from Vantec. I think the out did them self on this one. I was the easiest heat-sink I have ever installed and it looks great too! It also keeps my cpu cooler then ever before. I used to run at 46C at full load, now it has jumped down to 40C. Also, this temp is without my CPU fan-duct. Which I had to remove to fit my latest case-mods into my case (more on that soon!). Needless to say I highly recommend the CCK-6035D from Vantec.
Pros:
- Easy installation
- Good looks
- Fan guard
- Great cooling
Cons:
- None as of yet!!!
