To test Uniblue's SpeedUpMyPC 3, we're going to record the time it takes to access and close some of todays most popular applications. We'll also be looking at the Microsoft Windows shutdown and startup times. "Not Optimized" means that when that test was administered, only Uniblue's Registry Booster 2 had been run. "Optimized" means that SpeedUpMyPC 3 has been run moments prior to testing. Time is recorded in seconds and lower is better.
- Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 Processor
- Abit IN9 32X-Max Wi-Fi Motherboard
- Crucial Ballistix Tracer (2 x 1GB) DDR2 1066 Memory
- eVGA 7950GT KO Video Card
- Cooler Master 750watt Power Supply
- Western Digital 250GB IDE Hard Drive
- Sony DVD-R DL Burner
- Windows XP Professional SP2
During testing, I noted how intuitive the user interface was for the program. I really feel like it is easy enough for a five year old to use. The style is exactly the same as the Registry Booster 2 and that's a good thing, because it looks very professional, clean and unique.
Now let's see how well the system performed after the scan and optimization.
I knew that the system would do better after the scan and optimization but I was surprised to see some of the results vary as much as they did. For example, look at the time it took Windows to shutdown after SpeedUpMyPC 3 optimized the system - pretty impressive huh? I was pleased to see my system became even faster.
