Configuration:

The next main tab is “Clean Up”. Here you can start a scan for dump files, temporary files, backup files, lost clusters and other junk files. The second subsection for this tab is “Privacy” where you can scan for cookies, downloaded program files, temporary offline files and much more.

This next subsection is something I really like. It’s called “File Shredder”. When you delete files on your computer, you merely delete the visible reference to it. To insure that the file is completely off of your machine, you can use this “File Shredder” option and get rid of the files. The last subsection under this tab is the “Uninstall Manager” which is much like the Windows “Add and Remove Programs” in the Control Panel.

The last main tab is “Settings”. While in this tab, you can modify when SpeedUpMyPC 3 starts up. You can also tell the program where to put all of the cleaned up and deleted files.

Now that you’ve seen the program up close, let’s run it! You can start the scan by heading back to the “Overview” tab and clicking “Start Scan”. Once SpeedUpMyPC 3 scans your computer, it’ll show you what it came up with and if you want to optimize it. Your system is now optimized and you can see that because the MHz dial is now turned all the way up and proudly pronounces your system optimization as “High”.

Since everything is scanned and optimized, let’s see how much of an impact this program has on the computer.
