Installation:

When it comes to the installation of the Ultra Power Partner, it is very simple and self-explanatory. To begin, you will need to mount the unit in an empty 5.25" drive bay in the front of your case. Once you have it mounted, you will need to begin making all the connections. The first connection that I made was using the 24-pin adapter. For this adapter, you plug your current power supply's 24-pin connector into the adapter, then the adapter needs to be plugged into the motherboard's 24-pin slot.

Once the 24-pin adapter has been connected, you will need to plug in all connectors you want to use into the devices you need. For this review, I am powering my DVD+RW drive with the 4-pin adapter, as well as my video card with the 6-pin adapter. Once all the connections are made, you will need to plug the power supply into the wall. To do this, I ran the power connector down the side of the case (on the inside), then through the rear expansion slot bracket which features one hole and Ultra's logo.

Once you have everything plugged in and double-checked to make sure everything is secure, you can flip the power switch on the back of the Ultra Power Partner, then turn the computer back on. The Power Partner will not power the devices until the rest of the computer has been turned on.
