Typical figures for many power supplies in this class; higher PF at 110Vac and higher efficiencies at 230Vac. No problems in terms of the ATX12V V2.2 specification but one or two minor problems with the claimed 80 Plus certification. I couldn't find any reference to the Topower Tiger 1200W (Model No. EP-1200P10-T2) on the 80 Plus power supply list at the time of writing this review so either the inclusion is pending or it's not certified. The efficiency at full load on 110Vac, following the OCC testing methodology, doesn't quite come up to the required standard of 80% but it's close at 79%. The results in this section are really very good and maximum efficiencies of 85% at 110Vac and 87% at 230Vac are up there with other high end power supplies in this class.

 

AC Ripple On DC Outputs:

 

I have consistently found the AC ripple levels on the DC rails to be more or less equal with a 110VAC or 230VAC mains supply. The results given below are for 230VAC only but I will continue to check the levels at 110VAC during testing and publish them below if they differ in any way.

 

AC Ripple On 3V3 Rail at 230VAC

Oscilloscope settings: Amplitude = 20mv/div, Timebase = 5uS/div

The noise/ripple levels on the rails of the Topower Tiger 1200W are fine up to what might be considered the minor rails. The level on the -12V rail is high but still within the ATX12V V2.2 specification but the same cannot be said for the +5VSB rail with a level of 150mV it is above the permitted 50mV maximum.
