Thermaltake Tt eSPORTS Challenger Prime Gaming Keyboard: Conclusion

Let's wrap things up with a rundown of the pros and cons of this keyboard. Ultimately, a keyboard is only as practical as one makes it. Having a keyboard with a bunch of customizable macros, to lots of lights, or only the basics isn't something that can be outright judged unless it doesn't work. Practicality does have a factor, but this is something really left to someones preference. I believe reviews should be the least bias as possible, but peripherals are extremely hard to follow these guidelines.

With that out of the way, I can get to the conclusion and wrap things up. At this point, it's more of a formality than a real conclusion as I said my thought in the testing phase. The Challenger Prime is a bit of everything, which is the main reason why it just doesn't do anything particularly well. I started off loving the keyboard for its lights and low price. Slowly over a few weeks, I grew to dislike the keyboard. Not because it was bad, but just because I saw what it could have been. It seems odd to give the keyboard thumbs up when I bash on it so hard, but you have to remember that this is a budget keyboard with budget features. It is unbeatable at this price, but the flimsy frame and non-existent tactile response, will leave you wondering if it was worth the asking price. Not everyone has a large amount of money to burn and this keyboard could be that answer for a casual gamer who really does not need a really fancy keyboard

For the Challenger Prime, its fate is hard to see. I would diffidently recommend this keyboard to anyone who is on a budget or a casual gamer. They get both the Macros for basic introduction and lights that are a nice addition. For everyone else like me, who have a real sense of each key, spend it on something else. It doesn't have to be mechanical, but maybe just a little more of everything.
