It is finally happening; winter is here and it seems like it is going to stick around for awhile. It's cold outside and you have to bust out the ice scraper just to get to work. You pop your key in your ignition, and your car sputters and dies. This happens for a couple minutes until you just hear clicking when turning over your key. "Great just freakin great" you say grinding your teeth "the battery is dead." Looks like you are hoofing it to work today. On your way to work you pass by the lake and see a bunch of geriatric polar bear swimmers in their speedo's running into the freezing cold water and loving every minute of it.
What can we take from this lesson? Well the Thermaltake Spedo Case states better then anyone in its slogan "think excitement think spedo." Personally a speedo isn't the first thing that comes to my mind when I am thinking excitement but apparently someone in the marketing department in Thermaltake does. Let's see exactly how exciting the spedo is and also see if it measures up to a 70+ year old man running into ice water wearing glorified bikini bottoms; as far as its cooling capability goes.
I was pleased to see they went with a picture of the case and a ghosted image of a car going fast on there packaging instead of a creepy European sunbather guy sporting a leopard speedo. Once again I question their reasoning on the name but I digress. The packaging has a lot for interesting information on the case. The Thermaltake spedo is totally loaded in fact this is no standard spedo it's the "advanced package." At this point I was feeling pretty impressed with myself it's not just anyone that get the "Advanced package spedo." Sexual innuendo's aside I can't wait to get a look at this case.
The Thermaltake Spedo Advanced Package is well packed as are all Thermaltake products the foam protects the case from drop damage and the cheese type cloth keeps the case scratch and dust free.
The Thermaltake Spedo Advanced Package includes everything you would need for a new case plus a few extras, there are 2 psu extension cables one for pci-e and one for the motherboard cables. It includes all the hardware you need for mounting your board and fans. It includes an additional 120mm fan to put where you like. It also includes extra drive bay sleeves and a floppy drive bay reducer and faceplate.
Let's take a closer look at this case and its additional features
