Tesoro Lobera Spectrum RGB Mechanical Keyboard: Testing

The Tesoro Lobera Spectrum RGB Mechanical Keyboard was put through over two months of use and testing while working on other reviews. During this time it was used in everyday use: surfing the Internet, Photoshopping, and gaming. A keyboard is very personal to each and every individual as each person has a slightly different take on them. The major question the consumer has is, how it responds in these various tasks, as that is important in different ways to everyone. This review is completely subjective and the only way to really provide feedback rather than assigning made up numbers trying to compare one keyboard to another. This is my opinion, but it should give a good indication of what I love and hate about this keyboard overall. I encourage, if people have the same opinion or a vastly different one, to leave a comment in the forums. By doing this, more people can get a feel for what this product has to offer and point out potential flaws I may have missed.

Everyday & Working Use:

When it comes to buying a keyboard, usually everyday functionality comes into play. I haven't heard of anyone yet that has a separate keyboard for gaming. With that said, the Lobera Spectrum is an okay filler while waiting to play games. It's sturdy enough that I never feel like it will break or even move. However, over long periods of time, like typing this review, my wrist really starts to hurt and my hands cramp up. This is because of the half inch lift the front has, leaving my wrist on the desk and my fingers stretching for each key. A simple solution for me is to get one of those wrist gel rests in front of the keyboard (which I did at one point). However, this will just take up more space on the desk and that is a factor to think about. Besides that, using three USB ports on the computer just to get all the functions is extremely overkill. I just can't see anyone wanting to do that, but I'm sure some are willing to lose those essential ports, but not the average user. With that, the Spectrum isn't exactly ideal for everyday use and is better used for gaming most of the time.

Gaming:

When it comes to gaming, the Lobera Spectrum shines bright with all its functions. That is, once you figure out the software, which canAdd in the RGB lighting effects and you have an awesome keyboard to show off to your friends. For practical use, I think this keyboard is solid when it comes to the actual keys and the build quality is decent enough; I don't feel it's been built with cheapness in mind.
