CES 2007 Coverage
Bosco - January 6, 2007
Developed by LTB Audio Systems, ARIO Wireless Technology uses a fully integrated single-chip wireless audio IC which includes a complete RF transceiver, Audio Fidelity Processor™ for signal coding and processing and a complete digital audio interfaces with voltage regulation.
When paired with a companion receiver-side device, the transmitter-side provides breakthrough wireless audio functionality with point-to-point transport of CD-quality, uncompressed stereo PCM audio data at 16-bit, 48 kHz. Novel link protocol and audio coding deliver a link that is extremely robust against multiple interferer's and channel imperfections. The link includes simultaneous (Real-time) mono audio in the reverse direction for voice applications, and a data sideband for control and meta data (for functions like media player control).
The transmitter incorporates all the MAC functionality necessary to connect a companion receiver device and control the link and user operations. The transmitter also incorporates a full USB transceiver and enumerates as a USB Audio device as well as USB HID device enabling true plug & play in Windows, Mac and Linux operating systems.
