IOMeter is an I/O subsystem measurement and characterization tool for single and clustered systems. It was originally developed by the Intel Corporation and announced at the Intel Developers Forum (IDF) on February 17, 1998. The Agility 4 shows the workloads it excels at in this series of tests. Write performance is similar to that of the Everest 2-equipped Vertex 4. CPU overhead was not a high as the Vertex 4 but still showed an increase over many of the comparison drives.
