OCSystem Enhanced GeForce4 4200TI 64MB DDR ReviewBosco -
Category: Video Cards
I was contacted by GeilUSA, a company that I don't really know much about, asking if I would review their products. I expected a few strips of memory but they suprised me with a video card as well. Today we will be looking at the Enhanced GeForce4 4200TI 64mbDDR. Plenty of S-Video cords included as well as patch cords.
This card has a TV out adapter, DVI out and VGA plug in. TV out is great for those of you that like to watch DVD's off of your computer and have it running off of your TV. DVI is for running a LCD monitor for those hard working people that need destop space. They have included an adapter with the card as well for running an LCD monitor. A cable was also included for TV out. Everything is here to take full advantage of your video cards options.
As you can see I connected the S-Video to the video card, now on to the TV.
I connected it to my video jack, much easier then pulling out the TV.
The pic looks bad because of the flash off the camera. I booted the computer up, of course windows detected the TV.
Better pic with no light.
It is very easy to set up. Now if there was a DVD movie on this machine I could have played it right on the TV. The graphics look poor but thats due to my camera. A 29inch monitor who wouldn't want that! I was so impressed with the graphics I wanted to take it to the computer room, but my wife wouldn't let me.
As you can see on the above pic, the Thermaltake Cooler makes a nice add on feature. It is coated with Artic Silver 3, of course. This fan helps keep the card cool, when you are pushing it by playing games and benchmarking. It also helps by keeping the warm air from the rest of your computer away from the card which could cause the card to heat up. If you look to the right of the fan, you will notice the silver ram heatsinks. These are great for keeping the cards memory cool, while its working hard.
This is very easy to do. Just take out your old card and pop your new one in and power up the system and install the drivers.
