Tom Clancy's The Division:

Tom Clancy's The Division faced an uphill battle to become the highest opening day grossing title in Ubisoft's history. Built as an open-world third-person shooter video game, Ubisoft Massive developed the game with some assistance from Red Star Entertainment for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 with Ubisoft taking care of the publishing. Ubisoft Massive developed and built the Snowdrop game engine specifically for The Divison due to the need for an intelligent engine to manage the dynamic global illumination, destruction, detail, and visual effects.

Running in DX12 mode, the FPS margin results over the GTX 980 are pretty substantial, with a 50 FPS gap at 1920 x 1080, a 24 FPS gap at 2560 x 1440, and a 20 FPS gap at 3840 x 2160. Pretty solid results. In Tom Clancy's The Division, we see 40, 25, and 16 FPS margins over the GTX 980, showing that if you have a GTX 980, stepping up to a GTX 1080 offers a significant uptick in performance for your investment. Overclocking helps each of the cards causes, but the GTX 1080 truly steps up in these two games, delivering pretty much 100FPS performance levels at 2560 x 1440.
