NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 Founders Edition Testing:

Fallout 4:

Bethesda Game Studio's latest Fallout game, Fallout 4, takes us to post-apocalyptic Boston in the year 2287. This first or third-person RPG sees our created character explore the area, take on quests, build settlements, and unravel a long story with plenty of twists and turns. Fallout 4 runs on a modified version of the Creation Engine, the same that powers The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor is available for just about every gaming platform and uses the Lith Tech game engine.

With a performance target of the GTX 980, we can see that the GTX 1060 gets pretty darn close to that mark in both Fallout 4 and in Shadow of Mordor. Wheras the GTX 960 starts to give up the ghost at higher resolutions, the GTX 1060 can deliver playable frame rates at 4K resolutions with a little moderation of the eye candy.
