Installation:

The installation of the mStation 2.1 Stereo Orb is very simple and not unlike any other consumer electronics device you might buy. The power cord comes in two pieces. These need to be connected to allow the AC power from your wall to be converted to the DC power that the Orb can use. This is all you really have to plug in for the Orb to work. To be able to connect your iPod, however, you must find the correct plate to attach on top of the Orb. When you have the right one in place, all you have to do is place the iPod onto the Orb and you can begin playing music.

If you want to use the Orb as an iPod dock to your computer, the only additional step would be to connect the USB or Firewire cable between the Orb and your computer. You do, however, want to be careful not to plug in both simultaneously, because this will make your computer unhappy.
