Testing

Test setup:

AMD 2100+ (Not Overclocked)

GA-7VRXP

MSI GeForce4 MX440

Memory 512MB DDR(Infineon)

WinXP Pro

Will use Detonator driver 29.42 for all tests:

MSI comes out on top for the first two tests and ties on the third.

Very close. The AAX4 test I think that the Aopen drivers prevent the card from running the test so it just runs an AAX2 test again.

The MSI just scraped by here. Neither card would run AAX4.

Quake 3

Very close only 3 frames difference on the first test and 1 on the second and third tests. Still a decent score.

Comanche 4

Very even, once again I think the drivers were preventing the Aopen to run AAX4 on the second test. Neither card would run AAX4 at 1600X1200.

Conclusion

Well for the most part I was pleased with the card; I thought the benchmarks would have been a little better but all the MX440 cards are pretty much the same. For the price of the card its not bad considering what you get with it. You may want to consider this card for a gamer card. I did not notice any difference between them, so software and games I am sure would help make you choose.
