Kingston HyperX Savage 240GB Testing:

CrystalDiskMark 3.0: CrystalDiskMark is a hard drive benchmark designed to measure the read and write speeds of drives by using 4k blocks, 512k blocks, and sequential data. For our test, we chose the 1000MB option.

AS SSD v1.1.3466.29641: AS SSD is a benchmark specifically designed to test the speed of solid state drives, though it also works for traditional hard drives. It is designed to measure the read and write speeds, as well as access times for set block sizes. It also assigns a score to the read, write, and overall performance of the drive.

In CrystalDiskMark, both Kingston's HyperX Savage and the Patriot Ignite drive deliver almost identical performance that again illustrates that the Phison controller is going to deliver performance in a specific envelope. In each of these tests, Kingston's drive is a solid performing drive delivering performance better than the SandForce and Barefoot controlled comparison drives.
