Intel 7th Generation Core i3 7350K Testing:

SiSoft Sandra is a diagnostic utility and synthetic benchmarking program. Sandra allows you to view your hardware at a higher level to be more helpful. For this benchmark, I will be running a broad spectrum of tests to gauge the performance of key functions of the CPUs.

AIDA64 Extreme Edition is a software utility designed for hardware diagnosis and benchmarking. I will be using the CPU Queen test that looks for the solution to the "Queens" problem on a 10x10 chessboard. This tests the branch prediction capabilities of the processor. The FPU Mandel test measures double precision floating point performance through the computation of several frames of the "Mandelbrot" fractal.

In my SiSoft Sandra testing, I can see that the lower core count causes a performance gap when compared to most of the comparsion processors. The combination of 3600MHz rated modules and IPC improvements allow the Core i3 7350K to excel in the memory bandwidth tests and inter core latency. The 7th Generation Core i3 7350K delivers higher performance than AMD's last gen FX processors in the FPU Mandel test, but is the lowest performer in the CPU Queen test..
