Etasis 850 Watt PSU Review

Sagittaria    -   December 18, 2006

Conclusion

This PSU is arguably one of the best on the market today! The rails are absolutely rock solid and the entire PSU screams "Monster." I have no doubt that this juggernaut will run everything that can be thrown at it and things to come years down the road. The unit is dead silent and will run everything day and night. I no longer have a doubt in my mind of it running dual 8800s. This is a definite step in the right direction for Etasis!

On the negative side, it is a shade longer than the average power supply, so make sure you have room before buying it. Also, what really bugged me was the 24 pin motherboard connector, as it made it impossible to use a 20pin motherboard without the use of an ugly, bulky, adapter. I mean, come on Etasis - you could've left out the useless LED light and included a detachable connector to save us all a lot of headaches! That and the power supply isn't very stylish at all, especially for a so-called "gaming power supply."

The best power supply I have used to date. A definite 9.5 out of 10!
