I will test both Idle and Load voltages, first using software (Asus PC Probe) and then a digital multimeter to confirm the validity of the tests. Load will be tested by encoding and gaming at the same time. Keep in mind that even though this system is outdated, Prescotts (Pentium 4) have been known to consume more power than even the newest CPUs! I will also be using an Apevia Iceberg 680w as reference.
Note: Even though there are multiple 12v rails, in my testing, there is no significant difference between the different rails at different loads. These charts will show the 12v rail marked "1" in the specifications.
| Rail Tested | Etasis ET 850 |
Apevia Iceberg 680W |
| 3.3V Rail | 3.31V | 3.39V |
| 5V Rail | 5.03V | 5.17V |

WOW! These have got to be the most stable rails I have ever tested. The voltages are absolutely rock solid and do not fluctuate at all! This easily puts all of my previous power supplies to shame.
Noise, Cooling, and StablityWhen idle, the fan is dead silent, but admittedly, it is not moving much air either. At load, the fan speed picks up, but noise levels remain undetectable. Overall, it is safe to say that this PSU is dead silent and the automatic fan control is a definite plus!
For stability, I ran my entire computer at full load for 24 hours, and of course, the rails remained the same the entire time. Rock-solid stuff.
