Easy disk is a very great idea, basically it is a large amount of storage that can be accessed thru any USB port. This means transferring files from one place to another doesn't involve small floppies, or both computers having a zip drive. These drives are also bootable so you could put your windows batch files, drivers and OS install utilities on it.
I was very impressed with how securely packed the little drive was; I was even more surprised with how easy it was to take out of the packaging, I was expecting to have to rip it apart to get inside, but it simply unfolds.
Inside the box you find the following items:
The USB Drive
USB Extension Cable
Driver CD for WIN98/ME
Carrying Case w/ strap
The extension cable is not very long, so desk top users may want to order an extension cable to reach all the way around desk if they want a quick access setup. The software is pretty good, it did take me a minute to learn how to use the Password Protection and Format Program, but all and all it was very easy use.
Files transferred very fast, this is a 39mb mpeg file and is only about 1/3 of the way done, and down to 50 seconds. The data transfer was fast enough for me to play to movie of from the drive with no problems what so ever.
One thing I did notice was that their is not 64mb of ram, this may be because of the security feature embedded that will not allow you to access the disk without the password.
ConclusionThis is a great little toy for any computer guru or cubed up office worker!
