Before installing the software, let's install the weights. Some people may not like the feel of the weights on the bottom of the mouse, but others may love having a heavy mouse. The Cyber Snipa Stinger mouse has seven 20g weights included. After playing around with weights for a while, I found that I liked 3 weights toward the front and one toward the back.
Once you have the weights installed, pop in the mini-CD to install the drivers. After a few reboots, you'll be good to go!
The CD installs a simple "Mouse Properties" program that allows you to change some of the basic settings such as your scroll speed, pointer speed, and much more. These properties were more basic than I expected, but let's check out the "Macro Manager."
The Macro Manager is very easy to use. All you do to set up a macro is click "Start Recording," record your clicks, then save it and record the name of the macro. To change the DPI settings, click the "Configuration" icon in the lower right-hand side of the program. Once you have it open, you'll be able to see the abundant number of settings you can alter. Here is where you're able to change the DPI all the way up to 3200.
Let's test the darn mouse already!
