Corsair Vengeance LPX 3200MHz 32GB DDR4 Conclusion:

Right out of the box, this set of modules delivered excellent performance across each of the tests I ran. From synthetic to real world and finally in the gaming test, these modules delivered better performance overall than even the Dominator platinum modules I just looked at. The tighter primary timings and SPD tuning really brings out the performance potential of this Vengeance LPX 3200MHz 32GB set of modules. While tuned for 100 series Intel chipset boards, this kit performed quite well on the X99 refresh platform with the Intel Core i7 6950X. Due to the aggressive tuning of the modules, I was not able to really pull much more clock speed out of this kit without sacrificing some of the performance delivered by Corsair's engineers. Kind of disappointing from an overclocking perspective, but what I could get delivered improvement in the overall results.

Included with this set of Vengeance LPX DDR 4 modules is the Vengeance Airflow cooling kit. By providing added airflow over the DIMMs, the hope is that the modules will run cooler and overclock higher, especially when you increase the applied voltage. These modules are equipped with the low profile LPX all-aluminum heat spreader that is effective at shedding heat from the memory ICs on the custom PCB to start with, so the added airflow does keep the modules cooler. However, when you add the Vengeance Airflow cooler you lose the low profile benefits of this memory design from Corsair. At 31mm tall, these modules can fit under a lot of the high end air coolers on the market. Have to pick your battles at this point.

Available in several colors, the Vengeance LPX modules easily mesh with the thematic of the majority of system builds on the market, be it white, blue, red, black, or just about any combination of those colors. Priced at $239 with the Vengeance Airflow kit, you can find these modules at your favorite e-tailer. Covered by a limited lifetime warranty, Corsair has you covered for the long term if something goes wrong. If you are building a small form factor build or are going full on to the extreme with an X99 build, this set of Vengeance LPX DDR4 is an attractive option with enough capacity to meet most demands.

Pros:

  • Good looks
  • Performance
  • Tight timings
  • Vengeance Airflow Kit
  • Cooler running
  • XMP 2.0 profile
