Corsair M65 PRO RGB FPS Gaming Mouse Introduction:
With faster networks, higher end graphics, and computer systems that make the first supercomputer look like a chump, how do you make sure you get the edge when it counts in a game? Well, that is simple, you need the best weapons you can buy and no weapon is more important than your mouse. When you are running with that gun in your hand and it comes down to the last split millisecond to turn around and fire that hunk of metal, if you are using a cheap mouse, maybe one that was included with your computer system, then you might as well paint a big target on your forehead, because you will be dead. To keep the edge you need you have to have a high-quality gaming mouse that does not let you down, has a low response time, and very good accuracy.
Now, you mightt be asking yourself, well, which one should I get? To answer that, there are many good gaming mice available and I encourage you to look through the OCC Reviews section to see the selection we have reviewed for you. On that note, today we are going to take a look at a very good contender for your hard earned dollars: the Corsair M65 PRO RGB Gaming FPS Gaming Mouse.
Corsair was gracious enough to send us the M65 PRO along with its MM300 Extended Mouse Pad to review for you today. The M65 PRO touts an amazing 12,000 DPI high-accuracy sensor, an aircraft-grade aluminium structure, an advanced weight tuning system, extra large PTFE glide pads, and high capacity Omron switches rated for 20 million clicks. There are also some special features, such as an optimized "Sniper" button that allows for on-the-fly DPI adjustments to instantly match gameplay speeds. There are eight programmable buttons using the Corsair Utility Engine (CUE) and for those of you who appreciate the bling, there are two fully customizable lights in the palm and up top by the scroll wheel. How about we stop chatting, dig into the review, and see this bad boy up close.
Corsair M65 PRO RGB FPS Gaming Mouse Closer Look:
The Corsair M65 PRO RGB FPS gaming mouse comes packaged in a sleek looking package. On the front is a black and yellow design with an image of the mouse itself and the logos. There are also some of the main features such as a 12K DPI sensor, 16.8 million color customizable backlight setting, FPS-proven aircraft-grade aluminum frame, and more. On the back is a layout of the mouse buttons, the dedicated "Sniper" button, and a view of the weight system. The left and the right sides of the box expand on the features a bit more and display the package contents in several languages.
The packaging has a flip cover that I really like to see on products such as this, so you get a really good look at the mouse before purchase. Opening the flap, it has some details on the lighting system and the cutout for the mouse view. Included with the Corsair M65 PRO is just the instruction booklet. The drivers and CUE software can be downloaded from Corsair.
Now that we have the M65 PRO out of the packaging we can really get up close with it.
