Being that I was in Taiwan, I was given the chance to visit ECS headquarters with a bunch of other media from around the world. When we arrived we had the the chance to take some pics inside and outside. Well it wasn't raining when we started, but before we started the tour man did it come down wow!. In the lobby we located an award wall. I found four of OCC's awards on it. Nothing current, this was old award board from years ago. Still nice to see our awards on the other side of the world :). The first stop on the tour was a quick look at their lunch area. I don't think finding a seat will be a problem :). Most of the floors have some sort of viewing area which is nice. Gives the employees a chance to go outside for some fresh air once in a while. ECS has a large conference room setup with a stage and mic which reminds me of a large movie theater. The next floors we got to see were their support rooms. This is where they test, fix and upgrade products. We also had a presentation from one of ECS's RD guys. He showed us how everything is done from the ground up. They start with the Schematic Diagram Design followed by Printed Circuit Board, Samples, Testing and Debugging, and Mass Production. Their main building factory is in China so most of everything else is done in Taiwan. As you can see by the pics, people's desks are very full. Hopefully the building doesn't get shaken or the resulting mess in there would be a pain to clean. You could tell how hard these guys work just by how focused they were. A few of them stopped to talk to us or answer anyone's questions so thanks to them for that.
