Computex, for those of you that never heard of it, is a lot like CES. However I found that Computex focused a lot more on computer products whereas CES has a wider variety of what is being displayed. Computex is held in Taipei, Taiwan and this was my first trip to Computex as well as Asia. I knew to expect certain things but I also figured there would be things that I had never seen before. Overall, I was looking forward to the trip, meeting with companies and meeting new and old friends. I was also looking forward to seeing a different culture than what I was used to seeing.

I am not a fan of flying but I sucked it up and hopped on a big old 747 and began my journey to Asia. I took a direct flight out of Seattle so that was nice as some of the other people had to make as many as four connections, ouch! The flight was pretty smooth, I was actually sitting with Microsoft employees and there were a few NVIDIA guys with us. That made the trip go by quickly. It was fun having people to talk with that understand what we do at OCC and Neoseeker. After landing, I met with the driver that would take me to my hotel. He only spoke two words "wait" and "no". Editors note: I guess he's used to being asked to use the washroom? So, it was a long quiet ride to the hotel but it gave me a chance to really look around as we made the long journey. Arriving in my hotel room, I was greeted with a nice big room. The whirlpool was sweet, huge shower, comfy bed, big screen TV, fresh fruit and bottled water delivered every day, life was good. Did I mention McDonald's delivers to the hotel haha.
