ASUS Maximus VIII Gene Testing:

PCMark 8 is the latest iteration of Futuremark's popular PCMark system benchmarking tool. This version uses a series of industry standard tests in five separate benchmark tests to measure aggregate performance.

 

  
  

 

SiSoft Sandra 2014 is a diagnostic utility and synthetic bench marking program. Sandra allows you to view your hardware at a higher level to be more helpful. For this benchmark, I will be running the overall performance measurement tool that utilizes a series of tests to comprehensively measure system performance.

Cinebench R15 is useful for testing your system, CPU, and OpenGL capabilities using the software program, CINEMA 4D. We will be using the default tests for this benchmark.

 

  

 

X.264 Benchmark: This benchmark is used to measure the time it takes to encode a 1080p video file into the x264 format. The default benchmark is used with an average of all four tests on each pass taken as the result.

  
  

 

When you look at the results generated by the Maximus VIII Gene, it compares well from a performance perspective to both the M8H and the Z170 Gaming board from MSI. There is no doubt there is a performance envelope that the Core i7 6700K will run in and it shows here when you compare results.
